So since my teenage years i loved just about all music, dont get me wrong...i still do. As of lately there is a certain EP that stands out to me, its such a different sound and feel to it. In the song "Drift", the vocals are absolutely amazing and the violin in the background literally gives me the chills. Ladies and gentleman, I'm talking about the EP Urban Flora by Alina Baraz & Galimatias, it released May 19th, 2015.
Ive constantly searched on YouTube for more tracks and even googled Alina Baraz to simply find more information on her music and who she was too. At that time i found close to nothing significant but many of the same photos. And not too much on the web search.
There are tons of people who know of her now. "Fantasy" and "Make You Feel" seem to be the most heard in my opinion. Those were my two first songs Ive ever heard from her. (Thanks to my Jhene Aiko station on Pandora)
I feel like everytime i post a screenshot of me listening to this EP on Instagram, i feel like people kinda overlook it thinking im posting nonsense. So the picture gets no love, and so i feel like im on this new wave alone. But watch, Alina & Galimatias are going to blast off fast and soon. Pretty soon, their name will be in everyone music talks. What a stunning sound they create.
